Welcome to the Implant Materials Group at the Faculty of Mechanical and Marine Technologies at the University of Rostock.
We deal with the development of innovative biomaterials, taking into account tissue compatibility through to implant development and testing. The characterisation of various mechanisms of material ageing also plays an important role in this context, with a view to providing improved implant materials for the future.
