Welcome to the Implant Materials Group at the Faculty of Mechanical and Marine Technologies at the University of Rostock.
We deal with the development of innovative biomaterials, taking into account tissue compatibility through to implant development and testing. The investigation of material ageing and the resulting failure mechanisms of materials and implants also plays a major role in order to provide more reliable and functionally adapted solutions with improved patient comfort for the future.
